Bipolar support group celebrates its second anniversary

MEMBERS of the Warrington Bipolar UK Support Group celebrated its second anniversary celebrated World Bipolar Day by raising awareness of the illness in the town centre.
They met shoppers face-to-face, handed out leaflets and chatted about the illness – sometimes known as manic depression.
The Warrington group’s lead facilitator, former Mayor Geoff Settle, said the day had been a success, with a number of people expressing an interest in joining the group, which meetings on the first Tuesday of each month at The Gateway, on Sankey Street.
Welcome support came from James Howes, sport and lifestyles manager at the Warrington Wolves Foundation – an organisation which is a great supporter of mental health charities.
The monthly meetings of the Warrington Bipolar Support Group are free, confidential and informal.
