Western Link protestors plan another Town Hall demo

ANGRY protestors will be outside Warrington Town Hall again on Monday prior to the next meeting of the borough council.
Members of the “Communities United Against the Western Link” and the “Objection Against The Warrington PDO” groups will be in position from 5.30pm.
Lisa Cooper, of Communities United, said: “The Western Link has repercussions for all in Warrington affected by what’s in the Local Plan Preferred Development Option.
“If the Western Link goes ahead then it will make it far, far easier for Warrington Borough Council to push forward with the rest of the draft Local Plan to be implemented too. In the first instance, it’s essential that you do all that can to oppose the Western Link”.
The group is asking anyone who cannot attend Monday’s rally but wants to register their protest against the Warrington Western Link, to sign a petition being compiled which will be
forwarded to the Department for Transport. Further details of the petition, addresses where to send letters of protest and the groups other activities can be obtained by emailing [email protected].
