Get set for Spring at Bents

1

With such a cold and snowy start to the year, Bents Garden & Home is looking to add a little warmth into the occasion with a number of events to get customers in the mood for spring.

On Saturday March 17 Bents launches a brand new addition to its store with the arrival of ‘Weber World’; an exclusive barbecue shop which stocks everything Weber offers.  To mark the occasion (and to help make thoughts of freezing temperatures a distant memory) a day of tasty summer treats has been planned.

The Weber chefs, who are experts in the art of barbecue cooking, will be in store cooking up a taste of summer with delicious treats being given away between 11am and 3pm.

As the seasons start to change and the weather (hopefully) gets milder, thoughts of being outdoors return and Bents’ Get Gardening Weekend on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 March has all the inspiration needed this Spring.

Once again Bents will be joined by BBC Gardener’s World presenter and award winning garden designer, Adam Frost for the occasion. Adam will be at Bents on Sunday March 25, hosting a series of workshops focussing on garden design (10.00 – 11.30am) followed by planted container demonstrations (2.30 – 3.30pm).  There will be an opportunity to ask questions and pick the celebrity gardener’s brains in a Q&A session from 3.30pm.

There is also an opportunity for 10 lucky winners to meet Adam and accompany him on a private guided tour of Weeping Ash Garden between 12.00 – 2.30pm. The competition can be entered via Bents’ facebook page before Wednesday  March  21 at 5pm https://www.facebook.com/bentsgardenhome/

Customers visiting Bents throughout its Get Gardening Weekend will enjoy a host of early season offers, discover top garden care tips from the experts at Westland and be inspired* members will also have the opportunity to enter a prize draw to win 2 tickets to the RHS Chelsea Flower Show on Friday May 25, worth ÂŁ126.00.

Children can also get involved with Painting & Planting activities.  For a small donation to charity, children will be able to decorate their own plant pot before planting a seed to take away with them.  A special spring themed treasure hunt and Bents’ indoor beach and outdoor play area will help keep little ones busy.

Bents’ own team of horticultural experts will also be on hand throughout the weekend to share their knowledge of plants and suggest unique garden design solutions which will transform any outdoor living space.

* Sign up to Bents’ be inspired privilege club can be carried out free in store or online at:  http://www.bents.co.uk/be-inspired/1821/

  1. I thought that Matthew had died his hair and not shaved for a week or so when I saw the photo above 🙂 My Grandson loved the sand pit on Monday and maybe his Nana will take him back if she wins the competition.
