Bungalow extension plan involves balcony window

PLANNING chiefs at Warrington are being urged to approve proposals for an extension to a dormer bungalow which involves a loft conversion with cabrio balcony window at the rear.
The property is in Wellfield Road, Culcheth and has a large rear garden and small garden and area of hardstanding at the front.
Members of the borough’s development management committee will be told the proposed extension will have a flat roof and uPVC roof lantern. It will enable a reconfigured kitchen and dining area to be created.
The loft conversion would be used for a new bedroom with en-suite but the property would still only a two bedrooms as an existing ground floor bedroom would be replaced by an additional lounge area.
Three roof lights would be installed in addition to the balcony window.
Culcheth and Glazebury Parish Council has not objected – but believe the impact of the balcony window on neighbours should be considered.
Planning officers say there will be no significant overlooking or loss of privacy as a result of the development.
