Pop legends take to stage in iconic 80s revival

MUSIC lovers in Warrington have a chance to relive the sound of a generation as three 80s pop icons get ready to take to the Parr Hall stage.

People across Warrington will be digging out their leg warmers and getting ready to party the night away with music legends Go West, Nik Kershaw, and special guests Cutting Crew.

These three star-studded names are back and joining forces for an unforgettable concert experience right in the heart of town.

Boasting millions of album sales and timeless hits such as We Close Our EyesCall MeKing of Wishful Thinking, I Won’t Let The Sun Go Down On Me, and (I Just) Died In Your Arms, this ultimate 80s hat-trick is one show not to be missed!

Pop duo Go West rose to fame in the mid-1980s, releasing their debut single We Close Our Eyes in 1985, and enjoying their peak in 1990, when their hit record King of Wishful Thinkingfeatured on the soundtrack of Hollywood blockbuster Pretty Woman.

Solo artist Nik Kershaw first tasted success in the charts in 1984, with his single Wouldn’t It Be Good?, followed by other 80s classics such as Won’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me, and The Riddle. Renowned for his impressive composition skills, Nik Kershaw also became a prolific writer for other artists, even penning the number one single The One and Only for Chesney Hawkes.

Joining these icons on the Parr Hall stage will be 80s rock band Cutting Crew. Originally formed in the mid-1980s, this Grammy nominated, Anglo-Canadian band will always be remembered for its classic hit (I Just) Died in your Arms. However, 20 years later and with millions of album sales under his belt, original singer/songwriter Nick Van Eede has signed new recording publishing deals and is now back on the road promoting his new material.

So, pull up your leg warmers and head on down to Parr Hall on Thursday March 29 for the ultimate 80s experience with three top pop icons.
