VIDEO: WARRINGTON South MP Faisal Rashid has welcomed the launch of Warrington and Co.’s new networking initiative The Business Exchange.

The initiative was originally developed and launched by Faisal during his time as the Mayor of Warrington. During his tenure Faisal developed the idea, initially called Circle the Future, and invited businesses to sign up to create new opportunities and enhance existing ones while creating a culturally cohesive society.

The newly launched Business Exchange by Warrington and Co. has been established as a new networking organisation for Warrington businesses to connect, collaborate and grow.  It aims to be the place where businesses of all sizes and sectors, individual entrepreneurs, established business networks and trade associations collaborate with the aim of creating a better connected, more cohesive and stronger economy in Warrington.

Due to parliamentary commitments Faisal was not able to attend the launch event but did send his best wishes via video.

Faisal said: I want to wish The Business Exchange team the best of luck.

“It is great that Warrington Borough Council and Warrington and Co. are taking forward this initiative, which is a continuation of Circle the Future, which I developed and launched in my mayoral year. I am proud to see my idea is being taken forward for the benefit of current and future generations of local businesses.

“I have always believed that interacting with business is very important, which is why in Parliament I am launching, and will chair, a new All Party Parliamentary Group on Business Support and Engagement. The new group will work with businesses from all sectors and sizes to help identify issues, promote best ethical business practices and corporate responsibility and provide engagement and networking forums. The group will be launching on 28th March.

It is crucial that we both support and engage with our local businesses because they create jobs and wealth and help to ensure that our town prospers.

“I look forward to seeing how the initiative develops and to working with The Business Exchange in the future.”
