Shoplifter arrested after making threats to staff

AN alleged shoplifter who made threats to various staff at an Asda store and assaulted a police officer has been arrested by Warrington Police.

The male was arrested on Winmarleigh Street, Warrington, at 16.49 today (Monday) after it was alleged he had stolen from Asda Cockhedge and also made threats to various staff. It is also alleged that on his arrest he assaulted a police officer.

He was arrested and taken into custody.

In an earlier incident a male was arrested in Appleton for an alleged assault on his partner and in another incident in premises on Sankey Street, Warrington a male was arrested for being drunk and disorderly.
