National Pothole day – time to tackle Warrington’s potholes!

0

THURSDAY March 8th is National Pothole Day – and if you travel around Warrington on a regular basis you will undoubtedly come across some big ones in our town!

I am aware of some motorists who have suffered burst tyres and damage to their cars because some potholes are so deep.

I am also aware that road surfaces which have supposedly been repaired during the past year or so, are starting to fall into disrepair again.

Pothole problems are by no means unique to Warrington, in fact they are a national curse – hence National Pothole Day.

With council funds getting tighter and tighter it is more important than ever that when repairs are carried out and fail, those contractors who came in to do the job are made to go back and do it again.

In the meantime if you are aware of a pothole which requires urgent attention please report it to Warrington Borough Council via this link https://www.warrington.gov.uk/potholes and email us a photograph of it to [email protected] so we can ensure it is followed up.

We plan to run a feature highlighting the worst potholes in Warrington!
