A WARRINGTON community centre has re-opened after a £340,000 refurbishment which was launched last July.
Fearnhead Cross Youth and Community Centre has undergone a full internal overhaul and now offers flexible space available for the whole community to use and book at reasonable rates.
A range of activities are delivered from the centre including training, volunteering, community development activities, networking sessions and events, slimming world groups, local residents associations, parents and tots sessions, budget boosting clubs, line dancing and access to IT and internet facilities.
Cllr Tony Higgins, the borough council’s lead member for leisure and community said: “This refurbishment project has been a great success and will enhance the offer available to residents in Fearnhead and the surrounding area.
“It will help to revitalise the activities being delivered in the centre and we’re hoping to attract a wide variety of new groups to the centre to proactively support the health and wellbeing of residents.”
