CHILDREN from Croft Early years pre-school and nursery wanted to make sure their friends at Holcroft Grange care home, Culcheth, knew they were not forgotten on St Valentine’s Day.
So they got busy making Valentine cards – and delivered them.
The cards were warmly received by residents at the care home.
“We just wanted to let everyone know we were thinking about them on this special day,” said Bev Swindell, from the pre-school.
Holcroft Grange and Croft Early Years have been working together for some six months to enable the children and the residents to join in a variety of activities and events.
If is hoped to develop the friendship further and, to this end, Croft Early Years have recently applied for Lottery funding.
