A DISCARDED cigarette in a plastic bag sparked off a house fire at Warrington last night.
The blaze was in Cartwright Street, Whitecross shortly before 7.30pm.
Fire engines from Warrington and Penketh went to the scene and crews used a hose reel jet to bring the fire under control. There were no reports of any injuries.
