Gun pulled on van driver in Lymm road rage dispute

POLICE are investigating after a gun was pulled out and pointed at a van driver during a road rage incident at Lymm.

The incident happened near the the entrance of Lymm Golf Club on Whitbarrow at around 12.30pm on Monday (12 February) when police were called following reports of a firearm.

A van driver had a dispute with another driver. The driver stopped his car and got out of the vehicle to remonstrate with the van driver and pointed a small gun before leaving in the car.

Following a number of enquiries the car was stopped in the Manchester area and two men from Manchester aged 20 and 22 were arrested. The 20-year-old was released without charge.

The 22-year-old was released under investigation pending further enquiries.
