WARRINGTON Town go head-to-head with Altrincham for the fourth time this season looking for a crucial three points in the league.

The Yellows’ exploits in the FA Trophy have stolen the headlines of late, a run which included a dramatic victory at Altrincham in a third qualifying round replay.

They return to Moss Lane on Saturday looking to repeat the feat and reduce their deficit to the league leaders.

Altrincham have a seven point lead at the top of the Evo-Stik League table, and are 12 points ahead of Warrington, though second placed Shaw Lane and Paul Carden’s men do have two games in hand.

Warrington have played just seven league games in three months owing to their cup commitments, and will be hoping that this game isn’t the latest to fall to the weather.

Altrincham chairman Grahame Rowley has advised that there will be a precautionary pitch inspection at 11am.

The Yellows are unbeaten in their four games in 2018, including the two FA Trophy games against Ebbsfleet, and their last league game ended in a win – 1-0 over Buxton back on January 6.

After two goalless draws at Cantilever Park, in both league and trophy, this match also promises to be a tight affair, with Altrincham having kept 14 clean sheets in 19 games.
