Fire crews tackle blaze in house at Woolston

FIRE crews from Warrington and Lymm were called out early this morning when fire broke out at a house at Woolston.
The blaze, which involved a consumer unit at a house in Cliftonville Road, shortly after 6am, involved a consumer unit.
Firefighters, wearing breathing apparatus, use a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire and then brought in a ventilation unit to clear smoke from the property.
Last night, a fire engine from Lymm went to the Bears Paw pub in Warrington Road, High Legh, to deal with flooding in the basement.
Floodwater was affecting the electrical installation and firefighters pumped it from the basement.
