WARRINGTON Wolves head coach Steve Price has named a strong squad for Saturday’s pre-season friendly against Salford with Chris Hill confirmed as club captain for the 2018 Betfred Super League season.

Steve Price said on Chris Hill: “Chris is a very experienced player within our squad and showed outstanding leadership throughout the World Cup campaign with England.

“He’s always full of energy, he challenges the players around him and I know he’s a guy I can certainly rely on.”

Meanwhile the experienced half back Kevin Brown has been named as vice-captain, as he starts his second season at the club

Price said: “I’ve had a high opinion of Kevin as a player for a long time. He’s another person I know I can rely on.”

“He’s analytical, understands the game well and communicates well amongst his peers. He’s a guy with strong leadership within the group and isn’t afraid to voice his opinion.

“The two will complement each other well.”
