REPORTS are coming in of a road crash in Lumb Brook Road, Appleton.
Police say a heavy lorry has collided with the canal bridge near the junction with the A56 Chester Road.
They are advising motorists to try and avoid the area.
Later, police said traffic congestion in the area had cleared within an hour. The lorry driver was uninjured and there was no serious damage to the bridge
