Police praise public who helped catch robber

POLICE at Warrington have thanked members of the public who helped in the arrest of a man suspected of robbery.
The alleged offence took place in the Orford area when a man was robbed of his bicycle.
Members of the local community came forward and as a result the alleged offender was arrested.
Police praised those people who assisted.
In another incident, a 45-year-old man was arrested in the Howley area for a racially aggravated public order offence.
He spent the night in custody.
