DETECTIVES at Warrington are investigating a serious case of arson which occurred in the early hours of today.
A number of offenders are believed to have been involved in the incident in North Avenue.
The suspects attempted to set fire to a house and a car parked outside.
Fire crews used a hosereel jet to extinguish the fires.
A police spokesman said: “We are appealing for anyone who has information about the incident, and any witnesses who were in the area of North Avenue between midnight and 2am, particularly those with dash cam footage, to contact the police on 101 quoting Incident 72 16 December . Alternatively information can be given anonymously by contacting Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
