NHS exhibition at Warrington Museum and Art Gallery needs your help!

WARRINGTON Museum and Art Gallery are searching for memories and memorabilia from Warringtonians connected to the NHS for a special exhibition to celebrate 70 years of the service.

The free exhibition “The Health Revolution” will take place at Warrington Museum & Art Gallery from Saturday, March 24 until Saturday July 7 2018.

As well as hearing about memories, they would love to see any photographs from people who worked at a hospital in Warrington either pre NHS or post NHS.

They are also on the lookout for any objects relating to the NHS, such as old uniform, old documents, medical certificates or medical equipment that could be loaned to the museum?

The exhibition will feature material from the archives and collections which tell the story of Warrington’s changing healthcare services. The history of the main hospitals in the town such as Warrington Infirmary, Warrington General, and Winwick Hospital will be featured, and visitors will have an opportunity to reminisce about time spent either using the NHS services or working for the organisation.

People can contribute to this project either by calling into the museum for a chat or emailing Hannah White (Collections Assistant) at [email protected]. If you prefer social media use the museum and art gallery Facebook page or Tweet @warringtonmus.
