FOUR members of a well-established drug dealing gang who sold crack cocaine and heroin on the streets of Warrington are now all behind bars.

Michael Quinn, 30, of Fitzgerald Road, Old Swan, Liverpool pleaded guilty on the second day of his trial and was sentenced to six years 10 months.

Stephen Edmonds, 38, of Norman Street in Fairfield pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 32 months.

David Dowling, 31 of Edge Lane Drive in Liverpool received six years after being found guilty along with Stacey Murray, 37, of Helena Road in Bold who will serve five years in prison.

The court heard how the ‘Quinn Team’ lead by Michael Quinn were caught following a lengthy policing operation after the group would orchestrate the supply of Class A drugs around Orford Lane.
Edmonds would regularly leave his address to meet with regular drug users along with Murray while all four would visit Quinn’s home numerous times.

Edmonds, along with Murray, were stopped by officers following reports of drug dealing in the area. He was found to be in possession of Class A drugs.

A warrant was executed at Quinn and Dowling’s home addresses and they were both arrested.

Detective Sergeant Adrian Priest, of Warrington CID, said: “Following a timely, complex investigation we have prevented dangerous drugs being dealt in Orford.
“Quinn and his gang brought misery to residents and blighted the local community these arrests help make it a safer place for everyone.

“Drug dealers often think they are above the law, just like the Quinn Team, these arrests were helped by local residents contacting the Police about drug activity in their neighborhoods, rest assured we will take action.”

All four were sentenced today (Thursday, 30 November) at Liverpool Crown Court.
