Young man slashed across face during Birchwood robbery

DETECTIVES in Warrington are appealing for witnesses after a young man was dragged from a car and slashed across the face during a robbery at Birchwood.

The incident took place on Partridge Close, Birchwood, at 11.10pm on Friday,  November 17. Three men approached a white Renault Clio, which was parked in the street, and attacked the two occupants, an 18-year-old woman and a 20-year-old man.

The men demanded money and then dragged the occupants out of the car. The man, who was in the car, was slashed to the face during the incident.

Two of the men then drove off in the white Renault Clio with the third running off down an alleyway at the end of Partridge Close.

Detective Constable Jonathan Carter said: “We are appealing to members of the public to come forward. If anyone was in the area at the time and has seen anything unusual then please get in touch. If anyone has seen this car in the area that evening please contact us on 101, quoting incident number 1120 of 17/11/17. Information can also be passed on anonymously, via Crimestoppers, on 0800 555 111.”
