Hunt for robbers who threatened shop assistant with hockey stick

POLICE investigating an armed robbery at an off licence in Loushers Lane, Warrington, are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

The robbery took place at 9.45pm on Tuesday,  November 7, when two men armed with a hockey stick entered an off license on Loushers Lane, Latchford and demanded the shop assistant hand over cash from the till. The offenders left the store with money and a bottle of alcohol.

The man holding the hockey stick is described as being white, aged 17-20, around 5”10 in height and of a skinny build. He was wearing a black hooded top with the hood up, black gloves and a black tracksuit bottoms. He has mousey brown long hair and pointed facial features. The hockey stick appeared to be well used and had blue and white markings.

The second man is described as white, aged 17-18, around 5”11 and of a stocky build. He had a pale complexion with fair coloured eyes. He was wearing a black coat and black tracksuit bottoms and had something covering his mouth. He was also carrying an unknown implement.

Anyone who has any information is asked to contact Cheshire Police on 101 quoting incident 904 of 7 November.
