Motorcyclist airlifted to hospital after collision

VIDEO: THE air ambulance attended a road traffic collision on Lovely Lane, Warrington on Saturday evening believed to have involved a car and a motor cyclist.

The road was closed while emergency services attended at the scene.

Eye witness reports stated the collision involved a car and a motor cyclist, believed to be a male in his 40s, close the junction of Folly Lane and Lovely Lane.

It is understood despite being close to Warrington Hospital the motorcyclist, who eye witnesses said was conscious, was airlifted to Aintree Hospital.

The road is now re-opened.
