Popular website Warrington Music is celebrating its fifth anniversary next year with a special night of live music at Parr Hall, headlined by local rockers Slydigs.

WArringtonMusic.co.uk was set up by [WAM] five years ago to champion live music in the town and has worked with hundreds of artists during that time.

The event on Friday March 16 next year will showcase the best of local talent including a headline set by rock and roll four-piece Slydigs.

Special guests will be funk-rock/soul collective The Winachi Tribe, psychedelic rockers Psyblings and fuzz-pop four-piece The K’s.

Last year saw Slydigs embark on a 19-date North American and European arena tour supporting The Who, which earned them rave reviews.

In 2017 the band released their latest EP, How Animal Are You, backed by a headline tour around the UK and Europe which proved that Slydigs have a thriving fan base.

Frontman Dean Fairhurst said: “This gig is a milestone for us and signifies just how far we have come from starting out in Warrington many years ago.

“It will be our biggest headline show to date and for it to be in our home town is incredible; it’s our true homecoming.

“There’s a great supporting line-up of local acts also on the bill, making this an event not to be missed; we are planning something very special so buy your ticket now and we’ll see you down the front.”

Tickets for the event at Parr Hall on Friday March 16 are on sale now.
