The incident was in Manley Road, yesterday (Wednesday) shortly before 2pm.
One fire engine from Frodsham and the specialist animal rescue unit from Bollington attended the incident.
A vet sedated the horse and firefighters then removed the roof from the horse box and then removed the animal using special straps.
