Warrington Town hit by late equaliser again!

WARRINGTON Town were hit with a late equaliser for the second consecutive week as they were held 1-1 at Halesowen Town.

The Yellows led for most of the game, thanks to a deflected goal from Richards in the 17th minute.

But with Warrington desperate to hold on for three points to keep up their challenge at the top of the table, the hosts equalised in the 89th minute when Spray fired home after a good ball in from Charlton.

Last week the Yellows conceded in the 5th minute of added time against Hyde United in the FA Cup, which proved costly as they lost the replay 2-0 on Tuesday night.

The result  at Halesowen left Warrington third in the table, four points behind table topping Shaw Lane but with a game in hand and just a point behind second place Coalville, with two games in hand.

Town: McMillan, Beeley, McKeown, Barnes, McCarten (c), Goulding, Hughes, Williams, Jerome, Kinsella, Richards.

Subs: Baker, Carden, Mwasile, Sanogo, Ashcroft.
