Person trapped after two car collision at Lymm

FIREFIGHTERS had to use hydraulic cutting equipment to help release one person from a car which was on its side following a road traffic collision on Warburton Bridge Road, Lymm.

As a result of the collision Warburton Bridge was closed in both directions, re-opening shortly after 5pm

One fire engine from Birchwood, one from Lymm and one from Irlam attended at the scene shortly after 2pm today (Wednesday).

The collision involved two cars on Warburton Bridge Road, Lymm. Crews used hydraulic cutting equipment and stabilisation equipment to release one woman casualty from a car which was on its side. The air ambulance also attended at the scene but was not required as no casualties required hospital treatment.

Crews also used a hose reel jet to wash away fuel and were at the scene for 70 minutes.
