Motorist in Long Lane collision over three times drink driving limit

A motorist arrested following a road traffic collision on Long Lane, Warrington, earlier today was allegedly three-and-a-half times the drink driving limit.

The collision took place on Long Lane at approximately 4pm today, Sunday.

One driver was subject to a breath test and he was arrested on suspicion of drink driving.

Police alleged that once in custody he provided a “fairly remarkable” breath sample of 129 – the legal limit is 35.
