INDIE rockers the Libertines featuring Carl Barât and Pete Doherty have announced a last minute gig at Warrington’s Parr Hall after their Blackpool show had be postponed for maintenance work at the Empress Ballroom.

Tickets go on sale at 9am tomorrow, Friday, September 15 and will be available from www.seetickets.com

The group’s Blackpool gig has been rearranged for December 14.

The Libertines had two top 10 hits “Can’t Stand Me Now” and “What Became of the Likely Lads” and reformed in 2014 after Carl and Pete patched up their troubled relationship.

Meanwhile a spokesperson for the Empress Ballroom said: “The show by The Libertines on September 22nd at Blackpool Empress Ballroom has had to be postponed due to essential maintenance works at the venue. Original tickets will be valid for the rearranged date.”

“The venue are sorry for any inconvenience caused and would like to thank the band and their fans for their cooperation and understanding.”
