Three police officers assaulted in early hours

THREE police officers were assaulted in the early hours of the morning while trying to arrest a man alleged to have carried out a domestic assault.
In all, police arrested seven men for alleged domestic assaults yesterday.
One man was at first ordered to leave the town centre but returned and on arrest was found to be in possession of a knife.
