NEARBY residents expressed disgust today after vandals deliberately targeted a children’s play area at Warrington.
The hooligans set fire to children’s swings and two bins at the play area in Wilderspool Causeway Park shortly before 8.30pm last night.
A fire crew from Warrington was called to the scene and extinguished the fires using a hose reel jet.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call police on 101 or the anonymous Crimestoppers hotline on 0800 555 111.
