Planners to rule on greenfield house plan

PLANNING bosses at Warrington are to be asked to rule on proposals for a detached house on a greenfield site at Stockton Heath.
The scheme would involve demolition of an existing detached garage in Denbury Avenue, bounded on all sides by residential property and close to a newly-built house in Summerville Gardens.
Eight nearby residents have objected and they are being supported by Cllr Graham Wellborn, who believes the proposed house will be overbearing to surrounding properties, many of which are bungalows.
There are also concerns that proposals for a shared driveway with an adjoining house could lead to road safety issues.
Stockton Heath Parish Council is not opposing the plan however.
The applications follows the refusal, earlier this year, of an earlier scheme which involved a slightly larger house.
Planning officers say the proposal is in a sustainable position. Although it would increase housing density in the area, it would not harm visual character of the area.
The house would be barely visible from public vantage points, with only brief glimpses of it between other houses, as is the case with the recently built house in Summerville Gardens.
