RESIDENTS who live locally to the Creamfields festival site are being invited to a free cream tea next Monday (August 21) courtesy of the event organisers and their volunteer charity partner.
Creamfields and its Volunteer Charity partner, 10,000 Hours, is hosting CreamāTāfields – an afternoon of free cream teas and activities for residents who live locally to the festival site.
The community event – being run in partnership with Hatton Parish Council, Walton Parish Council and Warrington Borough Councilās South Neighbourhood Team – will serve as a far calmer prelude to the Creamfields Festival, which takes place from Thursday 24 to Sunday 27 August.
The afternoon tea, at St Johnās Parish Hall on Old Chester Road, will provide locals with an opportunity to socialise and discover the various activities delivered in their local area which support the health and wellbeing of the community.
Parish Councillors and the South Neighbourhood Team will be on hand to listen to resident suggestions for activities and amidst the afternoonās schedule of fun there will be the opportunity to join in taster sessions, including line dancing.
Young volunteers will act as hosts and hostesses for the day, providing alcohol-free cocktails and serving the tasty cream teas.
The event is free and open to all adult residents.
