Police are appealing for witnesses after a motorbike was deliberately set on fire outside a flat in Warrington.

The motorbike was set on fire outside a property in Bewsey Park Close on August 6 at 5am. The vehicle was parked outside the front door of the address and the fire spread to the front door and the neighbouring property’s door.

DC Lee Ellis said: “The fire caused extensive damage to the doors and the motorbike and blocked the escape route from the property, with firefighters having to rescue one of the residents through the first floor window.

Thankfully no one was injured, but this could have had ended with serious injury or worse. I would urge anyone with information to contact police so that we can find those responsible.”

Anyone with information should contact Cheshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 189 of August 6.

Alternatively information can be anonymously by contacting Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
