POLICE at Warrington are investigating after fire crews were called out three times in the early hours of the day to fires which were suspected to have been started deliberately.
The fires were in Troutbeck Avenue, Longshaw Street and a second one in Longshaw Street and all involved refuse bins or wheelie bins – some in close proximity to each other.
All three were extinguished using hose reel jets.
Anyone with information about the incidents, which occured between 12.35am and 1.12am, is asked to call police on 101 or use the anonymous Crimestoppers hotline 0800 555 111.

Can really only blame the people who leave out their bins for this to happen. The arsonists would have nothing to set fire to if the bins were taken in. Bin collection day for that area is Friday’s so no need for a bin to be out before Thursday night at the earliest.
The bin is close to the window of the house, it doesn’t look to be in the street waiting for collection SID.
Even if it was, that would be no excuse to set it on fire. Many people use on street parking spaces but don’t expect their cars to go up in smoke.
How many of these bin fires have actually been in bins left out in the street? From the news reports they seem to be very close to houses and a deliberate attempt to cause fire to spread to the property or to promote fear of such.
The people setting these fires should be charged with attempted murder.
