A PRE-School which opened 45 years ago at Lymm is to close because of dwindling numbers of children attending.
Lymm Village Pre-School, which operated from the Village Hall in Pepper Street, will not re-open after the summer holiday.
This Saturday (August 12) , they are holding a toy and equipment sale between 10am and 12 noon.
Spokeswoman Ruth Harris said: “It is with great sadness that after 45 years of serving the community, Lymm Pre-School will dissolve this summer.
“It has been a very difficult and sad time for all those involved and we would like to thank all the staff who have worked in the pre-school over the years, contributing to the wonderful and nurturing environment that care for the children and families of Lymm.”
Established in 1972, Lymm Village Pre-School was a registered charity and a member of the Pre-School Learning Alliance. It had places for 28 children and was judged to be “Good” at its last Ofsted inspection in December 2015.
Saturday’s sale will include a wide range of toys, puzzles, books, stationary and outdoor equipment.
