Warrington Town finish pre-season with a victory

WARRINGTON Town finished off their pre-season with a 3-1 victory over Airbus UK Broughton FC at Cantilever Park.

They now open the 2017/18 Evo-Stik Premier League season with a home game against Rushall Olympic next Saturday August 12, kick off 3pm.

Agiainst Airbus UK both sides cancelled each other out for the opening half hour, with Warrington eventually breaking the deadlock when Connor Hughes opened the scoring.

But the visitors equalised before the break, Phil Baker shooting to beat Town keeper Tony McMillan.

Second half goals from Abou Sanogo and skipper Jay McCarten ensured Warrington prepare to kick off the new season on the back of a victory.
