Wolves squad to face Widnes in qualifiers

WARRINGTON Wolves boss Tony Smith has named his 19 man squad to travel to local rivals Widnes Vikings in the opening round of the Qualifiers this weekend.

The Wolves face Widnes at the Select Security Stadium this Friday 4 August, 8pm.

The sides have met on three previous occasions this year, with the Wolves recording three wins including the most recent two weeks ago.

Dominic Crosby returns to the squad with Ben Currie out through injury.

Kurt Gidley, Joe Westerman, and Ben Pomeroy are still out injured, while Ben Westwood serves the last game of his three-match ban.

Meanwhile Widnes boss Denis Betts welcomes back a number of key players after fielding a weakened side at The Halliwell Jones Stadium a fortnight ago.

Rangi Chase, Chris Houston, Rhys Hanbury, Lloyd White and former Wolves player Chris Bridge are all expected to feature on Friday.
