Gardening club’s blooming good donation to charity

LYMM Jubilee Gardening Club has donated £1,345 to charities following its 25th plant sale held in the village hall.
A cheque for £335 was handed to Glenys Jones, manageress of Headway Lymm, by club chairman Peter Guest.
Donations were also given to MacMillan Nurses (£530), Compassion in World Farming (£350) and Sight Savers (£130).
The club meets monthly and have talks from a wide range of speakers on all aspects of gardening.
They also go on trips and visits to gardens in the summer months and hold a plant sale for charity and enjoy an annual meal.
The meetings are on the third Wednesday of the month, except for August and December, at Lymm Baptist Church.
