Stretton Walking Day 2017

LOCAL schoolgirl Lois Hayes Harrop was crowned Rose Queen at the annual Stretton Walking Day, where despite over cast skies and fine drizzle it stayed mainly dry.

Her attendants were Emily Mann and Alexandra Leach, Crown bearer was Olivia Howarth and Page boys were Edward Darnton and Oliver Lagar.

Retiring Rose Queen was Grace Edwards.

Meanwhile after creating history last year when Kai Jamson became the first ever Rose King in the parish of St Matthew’s Church, Stretton, there was sadly no Rose King this year.

Following the annual church service and walk, attention turned to St Matthew’s School where various activities took place on the school fields.
