It’s Stretton Walking Day again!

0

THE annual Stretton Walking Day takes place today (Saturday) – and as usual there will be a procession through the village following a service at St Matthew’s Church.

Afterwards, there will be fund-raising carnival with a variety of activities at nearby St Matthew’s Primary School.

The processions will take place between 12 noon and 1pm and will go along Longwood Road, Pewterspear Green Road and London Road.
Traffic will be prohibited from using those roads while the procession is in progress.

Our picture shows last year’s walk when, for the first time ever, the church service included the crowning not just of a Rose Queen but also a Rose King!
