Police warning over car thieves at Great Sankey

POLICE at Warrington have today issued a warning about offenders attempting to hook car keys through letterboxes following a number of incidents during the night.
The offenders appeared to be targeting the Great Sankey area and although there are no reports of a successful attempt, police are concerned.
They re-issued the oft-repeated advise to householders that car keys should be kept out of sight – and should never be left near a letterbox or window.
Anyone who has information that could help police track down the culprits should call 101, referring to incident numer 53 of 13-7-2017.
