Currie returns for crunch clash with Wigan

WARRINGTON Wolves welcome back long term absentee Ben Currie for Thursday’s crunch clash with Wigan Warriors at the DW Stadium, kick off 8pm.

This will be the fourth time the two sides have met this season; including a draw and a close-fought cup fixture last month, Wigan clinching the win by a single point.

Anything less than a victory will consign the Wolves to a possible relegation battle in the middle eights.

Head of coaching and rugby Tony Smith is able to name Currie in the 19-man squad for the first time this season after tearing knee ligaments in September last year.

Mike Cooper is also back available for selection.

Wolves Squad

Ryan Atkins, Daryl Clark, Mike Cooper, Ben Currie, Kurt Gidley, Peta Hiku, Chris Hill, Jack Hughes, Benjamin Jullien, George King, Tom Lineham, Declan Patton, Joe Philbin, Ben Pomeroy, Stefan Ratchford, Andre Savelio, Ashton Sims, Morgan Smith, Ben Westwood
