Road closed after power line comes down and starts fire

A ROAD was closed at Frodsham after an overhead power line came down and started a fire.
The incident was in Waterloo Lane, Frodsham and firefighters from Runcorn were called to the scene.
An overhead cable had come down in the road and set a patch of grass alight.
Firefighters put out the fire and set up a cordon around the collapsed cable. Waterloo Lane was closed to traffic in both direction until engineers from the elctricity company were called out and isolated the cable.
The road remained closed until the damage was repaired.
There are no reports of any injuries
