Something for all at “Proms in the Park”

THE annual “Proms in the Park” event staged by 75 Engineer Regiment at Peninsula Barracks, Warrington, takes place tomorrow (Saturday).
There will be music from the Band of the Duke of Lancaster’s Regiment, mezzo soprano Danielle Louise Thomas, the Warrington Pipe Band and jazz songbird Bexi Owen.
But there will also be a paintball firing range, face painting, tombola, raffle and more entertainment at the event, which starts at 3pm.
The event is in aid of ABF, the Soldiers’ Charity, The Royal Engineers Association and St Rocco’s Hospice, Warrington.
Proms performances are from 6-9.30pm and, as they are outdoors, it is advisable to take blankets or chairs and an umbrella if the weather is uncertain.
There is a licensed bar and food is available, but people are welcome to take their own food and drink if they wish.
Ticket prices at £7 (concessions £6) and accompanied children under 14, free.
