WARRINGTON Male Voice Choir concert presenter Bob Williams has scooped the “Best Toastmaster” award at the recent North West Wedding Awards 2017, just three years after first putting on that distinctive red jacket.
The annual awards, hosted by County Brides and this year held at The Mere Resort & Spa recognised the best suppliers in the wedding industry across some 27 categories.
A delighted Bob said: “It’s great to win an award thanks to the votes of the many happy couples I have supported before and during their special day. It’s also recognition that my more relaxed, informal, personal and professional approach is appreciated -and, whether getting people to listen, moving them from room to room, making announcements, or introducing speeches, I’ve managed it without once using the traditional toastmaster tool, the gavel. It’s what my clients say that matters to me”.
Bob set up his Event Host and Toastmaster business three years ago, having been made redundant after a long-time career in advertising, public relations and marketing.
During that time he worked for a number of companies and organisations including Warrington Borough Council and what was then British Nuclear Fuels, when he planned and staged major community and corporate events, including Royal visits involving almost every member of the Royal Family, as well as hosting awards nights, including Warrington Business Awards, Sports Awards and Schools Awards.
Such a wide range of activity provided a firm foundation when it came to setting up his own – now award-winning – business, which is attracting a growing number of corporate clients as well as many a happy couple.
