“Class of ’58” celebrate being 70-years-young

NEARLY 40 former pupils of the old Culcheth Secondary School and their partners attended one of the periodic reunions of “The Class of ’58”.
This year the group were all “70-years young” and the reunion was one of the best ever held.
It was held at Culcheth Sports Club – formerly The Daten – which was the place where many of the friends had attended their first rock ‘n’roll dance.
Two classmates brought along their guitars to recreate the atmosphere of years gone by
Organised by a team led by Mrs Barbara Glover, those attending enjoyed a super barbecue meal, with commemorative birthday cake.
Many of the former pupils have kept up their friendships and it is hoped the reunions will continue for years to come.
Any pupils from the period 1958-1963 who have not attended previous reunions, or have not been contacted, is asked to get in touch – they would be more than welcome at the next one.
