Public warned not to buy TVs from white van man

WARRINGTON Trading Standards and police are warning residents to be on their guard following reports of man in a white van attempting to sell TVs in the Culcheth area.

The man was reported on 22 June and there are concerns that he may return. The TVs are in the back of the van and are not boxed.

The man is not believed to reside in the Warrington area.

If you have purchased a TV in such circumstances and have any concerns contact Trading Standards Please pass this information to family, friends, neighbours and anyone else who may be vulnerable.

  1. Possibly the same ones who were trying to sell TV’s on Riverside Retail Park at Bridge Foot on Wednesday. They were in a small white van and had strong Irish accents.
    I must say though that it does worry me that some people are gullible enough to actually hand over money to a complete stranger for a so called ‘cheap’ TV from the back of a van in a car park 🙁
