Walton Lea Partnership Dig for Victory

1

LOCAL charity the Walton Lea Partnership held it’s first Dig for Victory Lunch at their Walton Lea Victorian Walled Garden site to help showcase their work and facilities.

Apart from a brief shower the June weather was glorious, visitors, beneficiaries, staff and volunteers all enjoyed a lovely afternoon entertained by live music from the era surrounded by the Dig for Victory themed gardens.

These included a specially commissioned memorabilia hut displaying letters, photographs, certificates, momentos of staff members families, newspapers from the day and genuine ammunition from the era.

The gardens and memorabilia are open to the public and any groups that would like to visit during the summer seven days a week, 10.00am until 4.00pm.

More Pictures from the day will be on the charity’s Facebook page along with news and upcoming events.
