Takeaway shop owner ordered to pay £2,000

THE owner of a Warrington takeaway shop has been ordered to pay more than £2,000 after repeatedly breaching his late-night licence.
Warrington Borough Council licensing enforcement officers discovered that Muhammad Irfan, owner of Frankies, Bridge Street, traded past 3am and even advertised that his shop was open until 4am.
Irfan, 29, from Ashton-in-Makerfield, was sentenced at Warrington Magistrates Court on after pleading guilty to licensing offences. He was fined £500 and ordered to pay £1,537 in costs and £50 victim surcharge making a total of £2,087.

With most town centre revelers leaving clubs and bars way after 3am (are some still open until 5am?) and then wanting the sort of fast food they sell I’d imagine the gent made way more in sales than the fine he received for repeatedly breaching his licensing terms. I’m not condoning what he has done as rules are rules but I can see why he possibly has.
